Whitehouse.com up for sale

Whitehouse.com, the pornographic Web site that features nubile "interns" rather than middle-aged presidents, says its domain name is up for sale. The site claims 85 million visitors since 1997, reports Reuters.

Of course, many of those visitors probably intended to visit the whitehouse.gov Web site of the US president. Site owner Dan Parisi says family matters prompted him to place the Web address on the market.

Parisi says he originally intended to create a forum for political discussion, but realised he could make more money providing sexually explicit material.

Buy an armoured personnel carrier online

German police yesterday seized a 10-ton armoured personnel carrier (APC) that two men had put up for auction online, reports Reuters.

"The men bought the tank from the Greek army and brought it to Germany. They were evidently looking to turn a profit," says a police spokesman.

The APC can be driven on German roads with a proper permit.
