Addressing the market demand for high durability and high-tech image processing in a compact-sized unit, Panasonic has introduced another top-performing work-group type colour document duplex scanner to the local market. Incorporating the latest in hybrid CIS technology - by way of dual CCD lamps, a larger lens for better depth of field, a three-line CCD-type optical component and replaceable CIS glass - the Panasonic KV-S3065 offers a fast 65 page-per-minute scanning performance in colour, monochrome and grayscale.
The unit`s features include:
* Long paper scanning, up to 254 cm
* Automatic binary/colour distinction (or manually selected).
* Automatic Cropping, where documents of various sizes can be scanned without needing to pre-set individual paper-size settings. This function also allows batch scanning of different-sized documents.
* Automatic De-Skew, which automatically corrects the skew on documents that have not been correctly aligned prior to scanning. A smoothing function ensures that fonts are not pixelated.
* Multi Colour Drop Out, which automatically deletes red, blue or yellow on original documents, on request, to achieve monochrome scanning.
* Easy Self-Maintenance, with a clamshell opening mechanism allowing quick recovery in the event of a paper jam, straightforward end-user roller replacement and simple cover glass exchange.
* Multi Stream, which yields both colour and monochrome output with a single scan to cater for diverse usage requirements.
* High-speed USB connectivity.
"The combination of durability, reliability and advanced technologies has assured the KV-S3065C of a niche in the small- to middle-sized business arena of diverse industrial sectors," says Keith Stanton, Group Product and Sales Manager: IT and Presentation Products. "It`s ideal for anything from banks and insurance companies to manufacturing and transportation companies."
