Minolta customers win laser printers

Johannesburg, 08 Dec 2000

Minolco - the principle importers and distributors of Minolta copiers, faxes, laser printers and image management systems - recently held a competition in which SKM Architects (Pty) Ltd and the SA National Multiple Sclerosis Society each won a Minolta PagePro 1100 laser printer.

Customers were asked to provide feedback on whether they would prefer documentation from Minolco to be e-mailed or faxed to them to avoid mail delays. Minolco`s debtors manager Martie Williams says the information will be used to send originals directly from Minolco`s computer system, and copies via the desktop.

"Customers will be able to print their own copies directly and immediately via e-mail, or receive faxed copies within a few hours instead of days or weeks. We are also recording our calls to enable our controllers to revisit the call and ensure our customers` requests are followed up correctly," she says.

Linda Tam from SKM Architects and Rina le Roux and Ivan Stander from SA National Multiple Sclerosis Society each received a Minolta PagePro 1100 from Minolta laser printer product manager Ivo Baiao at a function held at Minolco`s head office in December. The draw was audited by KPMG.
