Minolta has introduced the new DiALTA Di1611 and Di2011, digital multifunctional copier, printer and scanners incorporating networking functions in one compact unit for total document workflow support.
Copier division product manager, Paul Symonds, says the Di1611 and Di2011 are perfect for small to medium sized office environments. "These multifunctional devices boast a host of powerful features housed in a space-saving body. Their small footprints include a standard inner paper output path and a sorter-less electronic sorting feature," he says.
TheDi1611 and Di2011`s network scanning functions include standard scanning up to A3 size as well as optional scan to email, scan to FTP and PageScope Cabinet for easy transfer of scanned data to desktop PC`s. The devices can serve as a TWAIN-compatible local scanner when connected directly to a PC via USB.
The Di1611 and Di2011 have a standard GDI controller printer function with a 16-page per minute and 20-page per minute output at 300dpi respectively or 12 page-per-minute output at 600dpi. The machines also come with a N-UP print function, which enables users to print up to 16 pages onto one sheet, as well as a Watermark function allowing users to watermark messages of up to 20 characters.
Standard USB and parallel interfaces allow users to connect to a wide range of PCs and by adding an optional printer controller - the Pi2001e - users can access more advanced printing functions such as the productivity-boosting RIP Once function and 600dpi x 600dpi for superior image resolution.
The Di1611 and Di20111 are also equipped with automatic functions that assure top quality results such as the auto-density adjustment, auto-paper selection and auto-magnification selection. They come with a standard paper feed capacity of 251 sheets and a multi-purpose cassette accommodates paper from A3 to A5 in size and accept a variety of media including thick paper, transparencies, labels and envelopes.
The fax function user the Super G3 international standard and the JBIG standard high efficiency data compression scheme allowing faxes to be sent over ordinary telephone lines at high speed and minimal cost.
