Minolta`s MiSiX division has launched PageScope, an interlocking series of software products that help organisations effectively facilitate and control their information delivery systems.
MiSiX product sales manager, Jody Harrington, says PageScope helps users realise the full benefit of their multifunctional devices. "The software speeds up input and output processes, makes scanning and distributing time-critical information to multiple destinations a one-step process and brings all documents together into a single, accessible filing cabinet," he says.
In addition to this, PageScope gives the user powerful search and retrieval tools, makes archiving easy and lets the user control device status, setup and configuration from the desktop.
The PageScope suite of products is made up of document workflow management tools, PageScope Cabinet and PageScope Router, and network and device management tools.
* PageScope Cabinet is an immediate and intuitive electronic filing cabinet for scanned documents, files and images.
* PageScope Router allows users to scan, distribute and automatically send electronic files to virtually any destination.
* PageScope Light is built into every new Minolta multifunctional printer/copier/scanner and gives each device its own "Web site" for end-user Web browser access.
* PageScope Network Setup simplifies setup procedures for small office networks, making it unnecessary to walk from printer to printer and set control panels manually.
* PageScope Plug-Ins facilitates bringing Minolta multifunctional devices into enterprise management system (EMS) environments such as RNG, HP Open View and IBM Tivoli NetView.
* PageScope Net Care lets users view their entire network of multifunctional devices in one step.
* PageScope NDPS Gateway`s extended interface allows network administrators to easily configure and manage Minolta multifunctional devices in existing Novell Netware environments.
