With the objective of setting up local technical support in every country in Africa, MINOLTA-QMS Africa aims to offer the best service from any printer manufacturer, throughout Africa. In order to achieve this, sound and committed business partners will provide both on-site warranty support, plus offer swap-out warranty, as offered on the MINOLTA-QMS printers internationally.
The Authorised Service Partners and Third-Party Maintenance partners will have a direct relationship with MINOLTA-QMS Europe in order to ensure a high standard of technical service is maintained. Spare parts and swap-out printers will be kept in stock by the Authorised Service Partners in each country. Printers will not be returned to South Africa or any other country to be repaired or swapped out. Each country will be absolutely independent.
With a certification technical training program in place, support engineers will complete theoretical training on each product through self-study using computer-based training CDs supplied by MINOLTA-QMS, followed up by hands-on hardware training, once the theory module has been completed. Implementing this has gone a long way to overcome the vast distances in Africa, and provide ongoing improvement of staff through ongoing education. Once a support engineer has completed their certification tests on the Internet, they are awarded with a certificate for each printer model that they successfully fulfil.
Equipped with knowledge and a Technical Support CD with all the product technical manuals, parts manuals, printer drivers, software and printer flash code, end-users can be assured of both prompt and good service, from their local ASP. It would therefore be imperative that end-users ensure they are being supported by a registered ASP in their country. A full list will be available on the Internet.
