In an effort to streamline business for the channel and in line with Minolta-QMS Africa`s policies of facilitating the IT reseller channel, resellers can set up their own secure e-commerce sites from www.q-shop.co.za, the Q-Channel Shop.
After resellers register as an eVAR with Minolta-QMS Africa, they receive access to set up their own sites, each with its own unique login name and password. The client is then able to trade online, with pricing structured by the eVAR.
Orders will be e-mailed directly from the end-user`s desktop. The company says this will assist customers by reducing time searching for pricing, product codes and order processing. However, at this stage there are no plans to do any financial transactions via the Internet, and the current accounting methods and delivery systems will be used.
Clients using the Q-Channel Shop will be able to set up different branches, with various departments and sets of users. The system also gives each customer a global budget set-up, with separate budgets for each branch and department.
The system centrally monitors spending and resellers` budgets. The company says there is complete privacy within the program, with resellers being unable to poach one another`s clients.
