It may not be able to make a cup of coffee, but Minolta South Africa`s new Konica Minolta bizhub C352 can do just about everything else. In addition to printing, scanning and copying in black and white and full colour, it faxes and performs an impressive array of document finishing jobs.
Minolta SA colour division manager, Marianna Gdanis, says the bizhub C352 is a significant new addition to Konica Minolta`s award-winning bizhub colour range. "Because it prints 35 pages per minute in both colour and monochrome, it is the ideal solution for large offices or departments and can be used as the main document-output source," she says.
With its embedded finisher, the bizhub C352 has the smallest footprint in the industry for full colour multifunctional peripherals (MFPs), but still offers the same finishing options as larger products in its segment. With an optional mailbin finisher, the system offers up to seven output trays to the benefit of any larger workgroup or department.
The bizhub C352 allows users to scan documents internally or externally via e-mail, to an FTP or a user`s personal in-box, saving them as Compact PDF, Encrypted PDF, JPEG and TIFF files. In addition, the optional fax can be used with digital functions like box receiving, email forward or PC fax. Users can access up to 2 100 contacts from the address book.
IT managers and administrators have greater control over costs and document output with PageScope Netcare and PageScope Data Administrator, management tools that enable the central monitoring of all networked printers from a single location using a standard Web browser.
The bizhub C352 is also available in an advanced version that features the Fiery IC-402 controller as an option. This graphics optimised controller assures true and consistent colour for all printing and copying requirements in a professional and graphic arts environment. SpotOn takes care of calibration and makes the storing of user-defined colours like company logos possible, while the ColorProfiler creates output and monitors ICC profiles.
In addition, the bizhub C352 copies and prints onto media up to 256g/m^2 and on paper up to A3 full bleed. It also offers as standard 1 024MB memory and a 40GB hard disc drive.
