Bidvest Group company, Minolta SA, has introduced the bizhub 350 and bizhub 250, two multifunctional devices with printing speeds of 35 pages per minute (ppm) and 25ppm respectively. With printing, copying, scanning, faxing (optional) and finishing functions, these machines are ideal for use in small to mid-sized businesses or as dedicated network solutions for large workgroups.

Minolta SA copier division product manager, Paul Symonds, says the two machines are the perfect solution for medium-sized offices that want to lower their printing costs. "They offer high quality output at an affordable price and allow businesses to do away with costly desktop printers and scanners," he says.

Both products offer versatile print and copy functions including watermark, cover sheet insertion and the ability to print multiple pages on a single sheet. PCL 5e/6 and PostScript 3 emulation, which come standard, ensure accurate reproduction of text and detailed graphics using the machines` 600 x 600dpi output resolution. Both models feature quick starting speeds, with warm up times of only 14 seconds or less. Konica Minolta`s exclusive polymerised Simitri toner further enhances image quality.

Convenient scan and send features make the bizhub 350 and bizhub 250 an excellent choice for offices seeking advanced resource management solutions. Originals can be scanned at 41opm or 70opm (for scan resolutions of 600dpi and 200dpi respectively) and the scan data can then be saved in the optional HDD or sent to connected PC or FTP server, or via e-mail or Internet fax. With the addition of an optional fax kit, both machines offer a standard Internet fax function, Super G3 fax, IP fax and PC fax.

Both devices support paper sizes from A5 to A3 and weights of 50 to 210g/m^2. Users can choose a number of finishing options including stapling, folding, booklet making and hole punching. The machines have a standard paper capacity of 1 150 sheets, expandable to 3 650 sheets with the addition of options paper feed cabinets.

Operation is made easy with the clearly structured graphic user interface and large, tilt-capable operation panel. The bizhub 250 and bizhub 350 can be easily integrated into an existing IT network. The standard network utility PageScope WebConnection allows control and administration of settings via a standard Web browser, so no additional software installation is required.
