Mint Management Technologies, "MINT" secures its place among Microsoft's most outstanding achievers by clinching top spot in the mobility category at the 2010 Microsoft Partner Awards held recently in Sun City.
The Microsoft Partner Awards are the highlight of the Microsoft Partner Summit. This annual networking event is the largest Microsoft Partner community conference held on the African continent, culminating in a gala dinner attended by the top performers in the Microsoft Partner community. Against this backdrop, Microsoft SA recognises those partners that have excelled in delivering Microsoft solutions over Microsoft's last fiscal year.
Mint arrived at the event with two finalist positions in hand: Mobility Solutions Partner of the Year and ISV (independent software vendor) Partner of the Year. After several weeks of evaluation, including initial scoring, two elimination rounds and a panel interview prior to final selection, the home-grown mobility specialists had cause to celebrate when managing director, David Woolnough, was called upon to accept the trophy for Mobility Solutions Partner of the Year for 2010.
Mint currently provides mobility solutions for no less than six of Microsoft's recognised verticals, including pharmaceuticals, financial services, public sector, manufacturing, FMCG and advertising and research; and has been awarded a much-coveted Microsoft ISV Competency in both the pharmaceutical and FMCG sectors. The mobile opportunities that Mint provides to its customers combines the technologies of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 and CWR's mobility component. Mint applies industry specific intellectual property to the mobility component to design and deploy customised solutions for its clients. These purpose-built and innovative mobility solutions extend the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Framework from the desktop to a number of Mobile Smartphone PDA devices, including Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and Apple iPhone.
"Mint's core philosophy involves partnering with our clients to not only implement a system or solution, but to implement a roadmap that will differentiate them from their competitors and ultimately drive revenue, profit and growth,' says Woolnough. "We combine our services and consulting skills, with our ISV products to add genuine value to our clients' businesses by improving their customer relationship management, content and information management, and finally enabling their sales and field forces to operate in a completely mobile and real time manner."
This over-arching business philosophy proved to be a great advantage when it came to ensuring that Mint not only complied, but excelled within each of the elements comprising the award's judging criteria. These included building new customers, driving customer service, ability to grow business, capacity for innovation, and enabling people. Mint was able to display exceptional commitment across all of these areas, ultimately out-performing some extremely stiff competition.
Taking top honours in the mobility category is certainly a high point for Mint which, together with a final three spot in the ISV category supports the company's vision to become Microsoft's number one ISV & services partner within the African region - a position that Mint aims to achieve through top talent, industry solutions and strong partners.
