Mint Management Technologies expands value proposition to include BPM/BI and specialist solution development

Johannesburg, 03 May 2011

Mint Management Technologies, “Mint”, has announced the expansion of its current value proposition into business process management and specialist development, as well as the mobility services arenas, to complement its already successful mobility solutions, CRM and information access business.

“The decision to formalise these already functioning units was made to assure both current and prospective clients of the expertise we already have in these areas, and to focus our efforts on sharing what we can do, as well as what we already do in these areas,” says Mint's managing director, David Woolnough.

The BPM unit, which includes business intelligence (BI), is headed by S'phiwe Msibi, while the Mobility Services unit will be headed by Iain Ravenhill, both under the leadership and direction of services director, Carel du Toit.

The expansion of the value proposition to include BPM/BI and custom development follows the announcement in December 2010 of Kagiso Media and Mint's acquisition of Knowledge Factory and subsequent expansion into the data insights arena.

“Mint already uses extensive data and spatial information in some of our solutions, and look forward to the opportunities this data presents to some of our other solution offerings, which ties in well with Mint's newly formed Specialised Development unit,” says Woolnough. We already develop specialised tailor-made solutions for our customers, and now, with the added advantage of having access to analysed data, Mint can ensure that customers derive pin-point accuracy when targeting their clients and the markets they function in.

“Our clients glean valuable data through the use of our Mobility Solutions across a number of industries, including healthcare, financial services and the fast moving consumer goods, and it makes sense to offer these clients value-added benefits through our expertise in helping them analyse this data and use it to their advantage through our BPM and BI expertise,” says Msibi.

Mint believes that geospatial data is critically important in helping clients manage their customers effectively. The geographic location of clients as well the trends identified across customers play a vital role when formulating sales, service and marketing strategies. Mint's customers have access to information such as where their customers are situated, factors influencing purchases, plus the historic and current purchasing patterns, all of which translate into improved efficiencies and contributes towards cost reduction.

By applying relevant data to managing clients, and having access to instant, accurate data from anywhere, Mint's customers are able to stay ahead of their competitors when it comes to intimate knowledge of their clients, the markets they operate in and what their clients need.

The addition of a focused Mobile Services team expands our existing Mobility Products business to provide our clients with the option to further leverage Mint's award winning mobility platform. Furthermore, it offers our clients the ability to develop a point solution across all major mobile operating systems which include Windows Phone 7, iPhone, BlackBerry and Google's Android.

Mint uses leading mobile, Web and platform-based technologies to automate and simplify sales and service operations to deliver a world-class and real-time customer experience.
