Mint Management Technologies is a proud sponsor of SharePoint Saturday Johannesburg 2013

Johannesburg, 24 May 2013

Mint Management Technologies "Mint" recently announced its participation as a Platinum Sponsor at the forthcoming SharePoint Saturday (SPSJHB) event, to be held in Johannesburg, on Saturday 8 June.

Not only will Mint participate as an exhibitor and a sponsor, but also as a track guest speaker, giving technical insights into Mint's SharePoint side of the business. SPSJHB, as the Johannesburg event is known, is a gathering of SharePoint evangelists who provide delegates with the opportunity to network with other like-minded people around SharePoint.

This is a free event, meaning that no fees are charged to gain entry to the event. "The speakers also do not charge a fee to share their knowledge and expertise, and SharePoint vendors, such as Mint, sponsor an aspect of the event. "In Mint's case, we have purchased an exhibition stand, and I will be one of the track speakers," said Francois Pienaar, Services Director at Mint.

"Collaboration and sharing is the main focus of the event this year; the share events are seen as the platform for the Johannesburg SharePoint community to engage across a series of sessions or tracks, giving delegates the benefit of gleaning a high level of information in only one day," adds Pienaar.

The idea behind SharePoint Saturday events is not a new or unique one. Similar events take place all over the world, including cities like Brussels, Los Angles, Oslo and Houston, Texas, to name but a few, with the abbreviation of the city rounding off the SharePoint abbreviation of SPSJHB. The inaugural event for Johannesburg was held in 2011 at Microsoft's South African head office, in Bryanston.

Mint previously participated in the SPSCT (Cape Town) event in September 2012 and has been invited to participate again in the June event in Johannesburg. Mint has certainly made its mark in the SharePoint arena, with a team of dedicated SharePoint specialists who constantly drive the value and new, innovative features offered by this technology platform.

"As an example of this drive to ensure that our team and our customers benefit from the latest innovations and versions of SharePoint, Mint also recently participated in the SHARE13 event, in Sandton, in March, and presented together with one of their key financial services clients. In addition to this, Mint attended an International SharePoint Conference, in Las Vegas, towards the end of 2012 with one of our customers, giving them first hand insight into the power of SharePoint, demonstrating how partners such as Mint can enhance their SharePoint experience and forging long-term relationships," said Pienaar.

This year, Mint plans to shake things up a bit, moving away from the traditional "we do SharePoint" type of a stand, and hope to stand out among the other exhibitors. Mint's guest track presentation will be a technical deep dive into functionality launched with SharePoint 2013 that enables quicker value realisation, all the while keeping the dream of enterprise content management alive.

Mint is a Microsoft exclusive ICT business partner, which consists of two operating entities, namely: Mint Consulting, which focuses on providing services and consulting skills, and Mint Mobility, which focuses on independent software vendor products and mobile R&D.
