Xerox SA and First Technology Solutions have joined Ince and other suppliers of office equipment and consumables on Miraculum Xchange, the business-to-business e-marketplace for MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) goods.

Miraculum, a business-to-business e-procurement company, is a joint-venture between Dimension , Nedcor, Old Mutual and J&J, a telecommunications and e-commerce company founded by Jay and Jayendra Naidoo.

First Technology CEO Arnold Sharp says the decision to join Miraculum Xchange was based on recognition that e-procurement allows for the creation of effective and cost-efficient solutions in high volume, low margin MRO industries.

"We recognised this fact some time ago and set up our own e-procurement processes within First Technology. The Miraculum Xchange is ahead of the market in the e-procurement arena and offers tremendous aggregation opportunities to our Group. In effect, Miraculum Xchange provides the ideal engine for us to capitalise on our internal e-procurement processes," he explains.

National divisional manager, Office Supplies at Xerox SA, Ronnie Oeschger says the Miraculum Xchange will complement the company`s direct sales force and its own e-business website.

"With the partnerships Miraculum has formed, the Xchange is likely to be a major player with the ability to attract a significant client base. In addition, Miraculum`s partnership with Log-Tek gives us the additional benefit of our catalogue, which covers a wide range of products from papers, labels and transparencies to laser printer cartridges and toner kits, being standardised to international specifications," he adds.
