Mitel (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW), a global leader in business communications, has announced it has been positioned by Gartner in the Visionaries quadrant of the latest Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS).
This comes just weeks after Mitel emerged as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications [Bern Elliot, Steve Blood, 4 August 2014] and was identified as a Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contact Centre Infrastructure [Drew Kraus, Steve Blood and Sorell Slaymaker, 22 May 2014].
Mitel has emerged as a global leader in business communications over the last 12 months, with number one market share in Western Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as market share gains in the highly competitive North American market, where it now has a number three market share position.*
"Mitel is on the move - changing quadrant position within multiple industry analyst reports. We believe that putting our customer at the very centre of our business and offering the best path to cloud communications, combined with the industry's broadest portfolio of business communications solutions, is driving this momentum," said Andy Bull, director, Mitel South Africa.
Mitel launched its white label MiCloud Enterprise UCaaS solution for partners this March, initially available in the US market. This enables channel partners to offer Mitel-based UCaaS services to their customers. Since March, Mitel has launched MiCloud Enterprise UCaaS in the UK, and most recently, Canada, with plans to roll-out the partner-driven service in other key markets later this year. Mitel continues to grow the list of partners offering its UCaaS solution.
Mitel is seeing rising demand for its cloud communications solutions, including UCaaS services, with continued strong growth year-over-year. As of 30 June 2014, Mitel had more than 750 000 cloud customers worldwide.
