Financial services company MiWay's new online MiRewards store allows for the purchase of goods online either with a credit card or Miyas, the site's online currency.
"A customer's Miyas will become spendable approximately thirty months from the start date of the policy, but MiWay decided to launch the store in advance of this," says Carine Conradie, head of marketing at MiWay. "Rather than wait, MiWay wants to showcase the products that will be available and offer customers instant gratification in the form of awesome special offers."
According to Conradie, www.myrewards.co.za is not only for MiWay customers. "The general public will benefit from the store's special offers and quality products at great prices, but MiWay customers will get an additional special discount when using the store," says Conradie. "And for people at a loss for gift ideas, vouchers can be purchased online."
The online retailer eDreams is powering the MiWay Web site. "We have extensive experience in online retailing and specialise in offering quality products at really good prices, much the same as MiWay does. The synergies were obvious and the decision to partner with MiWay was a logical one." said Zane Zietsman, MD of eDreams.
