Mix Telematics' group financial director has resigned and will be temporarily replaced by a non-executive director until the position is filled.
Steven Evans will leave the group at the end of August, having joined in February last year. Anthony Welton, a non-executive director and chairman of the company's audit committee, will assume his position.
Evans, a chartered accountant, completed his articles at Price Waterhouse but left to pursue a career in commerce and industry, where he has held senior finance positions in the retail, tourism and IT industries.
Before joining the vehicle-tracking company, he was financial director of EOH Holdings, a position he was appointed to in 2005. Prior to that, Evans was financial director of the Outbound division of Tourvest, a listed tourism company.
Mix did not give any reasons for his departure, only saying: “The board thanks Steven for his contribution and wishes him all the best for the future.”
Mix is a global group focused on all levels of vehicle telematics, combining vehicle tracking, driver and passenger safety and recovery services with a range of fleet management products and services.
