Distributor of Pinnacle Systems video production technology, Multimedia Warehouse (MMW), a division of Siltek Distribution Dynamics (SDD), a member of the Siltek IT supply chain has announced the availability of the DC1000 media creation system.

"DC1000 is a dual stream digital video and audio editing solution featuring MPEG-2 technology," says Jaco Laubcher, product manager at MMW.

The product is a full featured, real-time, non-linear video editing solution designed for videotape, CD-ROM, and video. It uses dual stream MPEG-2 technology that provides broadcast quality.

"The system allows video and digital media producers to edit and produce high quality video tapes, produce streaming video for the Internet, and the ability to author CD-ROM videos with fully interactive menus," says Laubcher.

The addition of DVD1000 adds the capability to author fully featured DVD titles, one of the fastest growing delivery mediums for video. "As more than 90 percent of all new computers come with a CD or DVD-ROM drive, the DC1000 and DVD1000 are well positioned in this market," adds Laubcher.

The entire process from capture to delivery, remains digital, making production easier and faster. "The video is always 100 percent MPEG-2 for the highest level of efficiency without losing quality. DC1000 is designed for, videotape, CD-ROM, and Internet video delivery and fully upgradable to the DVD1000 for comprehensive, professional quality DVD authoring."

DC1000 is bundled with Premiere 5.1A (real-time enabled), TitleDeko, Sonic Foundry ACID Music, Pix'elan Software's Video SpiceRack Effects, Adobe PhotoShop LE, RealNetworks RealProducer and Minerva's Impression CD-Pro CD-ROM interactive video authoring solution.
