Mobile broadband bundled with security

Vodafone has changed the tariffs for its SME mobile deals, bundling in free PC , according to Mobile News.

Customers can sign up to an £18 (R217), 24-month mobile broadband contract to receive 5GB data allowance, or a £17 (R205) per month contact for 4GB allowance. Both tariffs come with free premium PC security, which includes virus scans, spyware protection, firewall, parental controls, e-mail spam filtering and backup and restore facilities.

Vodafone UK head of small and medium business, Jo Werker, said: "The recent weather has highlighted once again the need for fast and reliable mobile working solutions that allow us to keep working wherever we are, whatever the circumstances.”

Telstra trims Next G SME pricing

Telstra says it will cut pricing and boost data allowances for its Next G SME business customers, reports ZDNet.

The broadband supplier says it will double the data allowance on some of its wireless broadband plans while boosting the data allowance by seven times for its standard plan. It has not specified which plans' allowance would be doubled.

The company will offer no-contract plans, which it currently provides with a cap of 5MB, while heavy users will be able to purchase 120GB plans. Pricing has yet to be released for the top-end product, though it currently only offers up to 100GB plans for its mobile Internet business customers.

S-Korea's top export goods

The top 20 most promising Korean exports have been picked by the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency, after the release of a report entitled '1 000 promising exports in 2010', writes Korea Times.

The report lists 1 027 export products expected to be promising in overseas markets. The agency conducted research focused on SME-manufactured goods, to narrow the 1 027 export products down to a short list of the top 20 star export items on the basis of overseas market growth and the competitiveness of Korean goods.

The report lists hi-tech components as major export items, from LED light bulbs, LED/LCD TVs, optical cables, smartphones, and set-top boxes, thanks to their superior competitive edges and fast-growing overseas markets.
