Mobile critical to plans

Sixty percent of respondents are investing in mobile security services, and 38% are making investments in cloud computing to ensure business continuity.
The new study found a 12% increase over the 2011 report in efforts to prioritise planning and implementation of a business continuity plan.
In all, 83% of executives see the need for such planning being a priority. Some 86% already have a business continuity plan in place in case of a disaster or threat, which is an increase of 8% over the last five years.
The complexities of maintaining mobility and wireless capabilities during the event of a disaster or security threat has become an increasing aspect of importance for businesses as they consider business continuity planning, Market Watch reports.
About two-thirds (67%) of executives surveyed have included wireless network capabilities as part of their business continuity plans.
Some 52% of IT executives surveyed anticipated the spending for mobile security services to increase.
Cloud computing is becoming a critical element of business continuity plans based on security, performance and cost-savings benefits.
