MobiMedia boosts mobile marketing

MobiMedia has signed a partnership agreement with Boost Communications, a Norwegian-based mobile Internet platform provider.

The partnership gives MobiMedia exclusive mobile marketing agency rights to the Boost Mobile Internet platform.

In a statement, MobiMedia says it has been appointed a of advertising inventory on Boost's existing South African mobile portals including Times Live, Sowetan Live and Kaizer Chiefs.mobi.

Tim Legg, MD of MobiMedia claims the local advertising landscape is undergoing rapid innovation with most marketing campaigns are leveraging the mobile channel.

“Creative concept, design, and content are still the key elements that drive communication,” says Legg. “But, how consumers receive and interact with the advertising message is changing... this is where the mobile channel comes into its own.”

According to Legg, mobile combines the reach of television with the precision of direct marketing and the ability of the Internet with the immediacy of in-store promotions.

Boost Communications says it now has a dedicated presence in SA with both a country manager and a business development manager.

Oystein Skiri, CEO of Boost Communications says: “We chose to work with MobiMedia in SA because we wanted a professional and innovative who would introduce our platform to major brands and allow them exposure on Boost hosted sites, and MobiMedia has the profile and track record to help us achieve those goals.”
