Faced with the problem of interconnecting a multitude of network elements with its many information system applications, Mobinil has chosen, for its mediation solution, Sofrecom's Ga"ia product which provides data collection and archiving functions.
To cover its future needs, Sofrecom will also supply additional decision-making aids fed by the datawarehouse. Sofrecom and Mobinil are also working together on a complete mediation solution that will incorporate activation and a database for management of prepaid subscribers.
More than 30 fixed line and mobile telecommunications operators all around the world use Sofrecom Ga"ia Global Mediation and six of them are in Africa. Thanks to this new project Sofrecom increases its presence on the continent and reinforces its position as a major provider of IT solutions for telecommunications operators in Africa
