Cybercriminals are predominantly using Gigi Buffon's name to try and trick computer users.
Using various Euro 2008 football players' names, cybercriminals are attempting to lure computer users into being victims of spyware, adware, spam and identity theft.
The trend for using soccer stars and other celebrities as bait in such scams has grown rapidly in recent years, explains McAfee. Only last month the Internet security company discovered that cybercriminals were exploiting pop stars such as girl band Girls Aloud to tempt fans into downloading suspect MP3 files.
But, Gigi Buffon's name is currently associated with the most 'unsafe' Web sites out of all the Euro 2008 players.
According to McAfee, the most risky players in cyberspace are:
1. Gigi Buffon
2. Alessandro Del Piero
3. Fabio Cannavaro
4. Klass Jan Huntelaar
5. Freddie Ljungberg
6. Tom'as Grigera
7. Martin Harnik
8. Cennaro Gattuso
9. Ruud Van Nistelrooy
10. Cesc Fabregas
11. Carlos Puyol
