Mixed reaction to iPhone 'Xbox Live'

Apple has released the equivalent to Xbox Live for iPhone users, but so far the reception has been mixed, states Inc Gamers.

The iOS 4.1 firmware upgrade gives users access to the Apple Game Centre, allowing players to invite friends to play a game, track and unlock achievements as well as enter the leaderboards.

The service, which is compatible with the iPhones 3G, 3GS and 4, will also be available for the iPad this November.
