Below is a brief summary of the licensing terms for informational purposes only. The DisplayPort Patent Portfolio Licence, which provides the only definitive statement of licensing terms on which users may rely, may be obtained from MPEG LA at http://www.mpegla.com/main/programs/DisplayPort/Pages/AgreementExpress.aspx.
* Royalty of $0.20 for each DisplayPort Product (without regard to number of DP applications in a single product) manufactured or sold in a country with one or more DisplayPort Essential Patents.
* Includes right to make, have made, sell, offer for sale, import, and for an end-user to use DP products.
* Licence coverage begins from the first release date of the DisplayPort specification.
* Back royalties payable from 1 January 2013.
* Initial licence term to 31 December 2020.
* Renewable for successive five-year periods for the life of any portfolio patent on reasonable terms and conditions.
* Rate protection on renewal - royalties for licence grant will not increase by more than 20% at each renewal.
