The Mineral Services Group has an awesome new Web site. This was a great and interesting project for Realmdigital, which used a range of Realm Platform features. Well done to all those who worked on it.
Who is the MS Group?
The MS Group is a broad spectrum company covering a range of endeavours, including mineral consulting, exploration and drilling services, laboratory support, software development, aviation and engineering.
It is a large and dynamic business with 120 passionate people creating a team of diverse skills and offerings. The headquarters are based in Cape Town and Vancouver, but also operates in Botswana, Namibia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Gabon, Ireland, UK, Guernsey, Mauritius and Sweden.
The project
The client needed a content managed site for each company and it was essential that each company site reflected its own identity. This was achieved using Platform's theme functionality, whereby each company uses a specific theme. The client also required flexibility to change the site layout depending on each company's specific layout requirements.
Web site functionality
* The MS Group Web site is built on Realm Platform.
* The site utilises company themes so each company section uses different CSS styles for a more personalised design.
* The Web site supports customisable layouts using containers so a user can arrange the site elements to suit the requirements of the client.
* Snippet effects allow the user to set specific effects on different content snippets. This can be seen on the MS Group Web site in the form of the snippet accordion effects.
