MS RoundTable renamed
Polycom and Microsoft are strengthening their strategic relationship to deliver sets of voice and video solutions for unified communications and collaboration, EFYtimes reports.
As part of this, Polycom has licensed the right to distribute Microsoft RoundTable, effective immediately.
The product, renamed Polycom CX5000 Unified Conference Station, will be available through Polycom and its channel network.
Digital pen enhances presentations
Anoto, a Westborough technology company, recently released Anoto penPresenter, which records notes and displays them on a screen during presentations, reports The Boston Globe.
The pen, which is about the size of a fountain pen, combines a digital writer with PowerPoint, allowing notes to appear on screen in real-time.
The idea is to make meetings and presentations more interactive, allowing participants to have instant copies of any material added during the session.
Taking on digital signage
Sony Professional, a division of Sony Europe and a supplier of AV/IT solutions, will address the growing digital signage market during the Sony Professional Displays Technology Conference in Dubai on 2 June, according to AME Info.
The event will gather decision makers from the public and private sectors to discuss the evolution of the digital signage market in the Middle East and the need for greater innovation and effective deployment of communication media.
According to a media report, the digital signage market is set to grow by 125% in the UAE in 2009 alone.
