HP updates print management line

HP has released a suite of products designed to help businesses manage and monitor their printing operations, reports V3.co.uk.

The company says the Smart Decision Suite will be offered as the latest addition to its Managed Print Services division. The server will allow administrators to view the status and activity of local printers.

The suite will also sport an updated version of Jetadmin, a tool which allows administrators to configure and manage USB printers alongside network-connected machines.

Extreme intros virtualisation management

Extreme Networks has unveiled a network-based dynamic centre virtualisation life cycle management solution - Extreme Networks XNV, states TMCnet.

The company has stated that data centre networks today are very inefficient in dealing with server virtualisation.

From the time a Virtual Machine, or 'VM', is created to the time it is activated, moved around or deactivated, the network has no visibility into the virtual machine life cycle.
