Msnbc looks to Unicorn

Network is using Unicorn Once technology from Tempe-based digital media management provider, Unicorn Media, to “deliver, monetise and analyse mobile and over-the-top (OTT) video content” for its brands, Cable 360 reports.

Unicorn Once enables the Msnbc Digital Network to transmit content from the likes of msnbc.com, Today.com and NBCNightlyNews.com to iPads, iPhones, BlackBerrys, Android smartphones, Roku boxes and other devices.

According to Unicorn Media, the Msnbc Digital Network chose Unicorn Once “for its ability to simplify workflow and file management, reach the multitude of devices consumers are using to view content, dynamically target and insert ads in real time, and analyse the performance of ad and video content across all platforms and applications.

According to The Sacramento Bee, this allows the Msnbc Digital Network to take advantage of the strategies provided by Unicorn Once.

This sophisticated analytics engine not only provides detailed reporting on a given asset or catalogue of assets, it also provides information that identifies the means of delivery (i.e. content viewed via a mobile app versus Web site content) as well as device type and platform.
