MTN's network has been restored following a problem that rendered data services inoperative, for a brief period, in parts of Northern Gauteng yesterday.
Customers reported broken data access on the network in the Midrand area yesterday, in the late morning - a problem MTN says lasted about an hour and is now fully resolved.
GM of network operations at MTN, Sidney Arnold, says the problem was identified in the Randburg Switch control room.
"Our technicians identified intermittent access that occurred on the data network. MTN's network is currently operating efficiently again, as the issue was successfully identified and resolved."
