MTN Network Solutions (MTN NS) is significantly geared up to meet the "phenomenal" demand for local and international (VPN) and Internet services, says Mike Brierley, CEO, MTN Network Solutions.
MTN NS, one of South Africa`s leading first-tier Internet service providers with a significant MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) virtual private network (VPN) presence in southern Africa, announced today it has been re-certified as a Cisco Silver partner.
"This is an important milestone for MTN NS. The certification and accreditation is supported by Cisco on a worldwide basis. It ensures our customers get the highest level of service as we have access to the latest Cisco technology and to the Cisco Technical Assistance Centre.
"Additionally, it ensures our staff are highly certified and are continually provided with training to update and improve skills," Brierley said.
MTN NS has over 200 corporate customers that rely on its integrated core network, which is the platform for a bouquet of services such as voice over IP (VOIP) and dedicated hosting.
MTN NS is this week showcasing its product offerings at the Cisco Networkers 2006 conference in Sun City. Included is EDGE, VPNs and hosting. MTN EDGE coverage is 40% of the population and some 57 000 subscribers are using 3G/EDGE services in South Africa.
