MTN Business is helping entrepreneurs make the most of their already tight budgets by providing an alternate call rate solution unlike anything else on the market. MTN One Rate, which offers a call rate of less than 3c per second across all networks all day, is the only price plan that can help businesses save on calls across all networks.
MTN Business solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of small businesses. With MTN One Rate, customers are only charged for what they use and not a second more.
This means SMEs can now better manage their budgets and make their businesses even more successful. MTN One Rate customers also have the benefit of a reduced SMS rate of only 50c all day to any number, plus one free daily SMS, full voicemail service and seven free call-backs per day.
To further highlight the benefits of MTN One Rate, MTN Business recently offered South African small businesses the opportunity to profile their businesses like never before, helping them do the one thing they cannot always afford: advertise. MTN Business granted 36 young entrepreneurs the opportunity to profile and advertise their businesses on-air and in print.
“As a caring corporate citizen with the best interests of SMEs at heart, the success of the MTN One Rate campaign underscores the fact that MTN Business is serious about growing the small business community in South Africa, having already empowered hundreds of small businesses through our products and services,” says Serame Taukobong, Chief Marketing Officer at MTN South Africa.
The MTN One Rate campaign focused on developing new business ideas and opportunities by reinforcing the need for South Africans to continue their entrepreneurial ways and to promote the growth of local SMEs. This was achieved through an initial on-air campaign with Kaya FM.
Overall winner, Oupa Mokwatlo from New Deal Properties, was selected by a panel of Kaya FM judges, after submitting his business profile to the radio station in response to the competition.
This was followed by an MTN One Rate Pay As You Go print campaign in which 35 entrepreneurs were granted the opportunity to have their businesses advertised in their local paper. MTN One Rate Pay As You Go provides one of the lowest call rates per second to all networks.
To get the benefits of MTN One Rate, simply dial *141*4*5# from any MTN phone or call the 173 Customer Services Centre for assistance.
Winner of the Kaya FM campaign, Mokwatlo submitted his business profile to the radio station and was extremely surprised when he received a call to say he'd won R150 000 to advertise his business. Not one to follow convention, Mokwatlo decided instead to use his prize money to co-host a 10-minute property show on Kaya FM. The property-centric show looks at South African property trends and highlights opportunities for like-minded individuals to enter the property market. The show is hosted by Kaya FM's George Manyosi every Sunday at 10:00 and runs for 15 weeks, ending on 10 October 2010.
“The success of MTN Business One Rate shows that we are able and willing to empower entrepreneurs to successfully promote their businesses like never before. MTN One Rate Pay As You Go is the prepaid solution for business savvy people,” he says.
