SAS, the leader in business intelligence software, today announced that Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (MTS), Russia's largest cellular operator, has licensed SAS Telecommunications Intelligence Solutions. The deal builds upon an existing licence agreement under which MTS has built a corporate-wide financial data warehouse for financial controlling and reporting.
With SAS Telecommunications Intelligence Solutions, MTS will be able to extend the data warehouse to cover other corporate performance information, meeting the business intelligence needs of senior and middle management. SAS Telecommunications Intelligence Solutions will also be used to help MTS address specific business issues such as marketing campaign automation and fraud detection.
