Ingram Micro, the world's leading wholesale distributor of technology products and services with 1996 sales in the region of R58 billion, recently signed a distribution agreement with Silicon Graphics to distribute the full line of Cosmo Software products in North America. They will begin with Cosmo Code 2.5, a professional Java-based authoring tool for Windows 95 and NT."The growing demand for Cosmo Software motivated Silicon Graphics to find a distributor who could provide customers with easy access to our products," says James Chiweshe, MD of Silicon Graphics sub-Saharan Africa. "No other company has the breadth and the depth of penetration in the technology market that Ingram Micro has. It is the ideal company to sell and support Cosmo."Chiweshe continues, "From Ingram Micro's perspective, the agreement with Cosmo enables them to deliver high-end 3-D graphic tools to their network of resellers. The addition of Cosmo Software to their range will help them to satisfy a steadily growing demand for products in this relatively new technology area.
