The online arm of national music retailer Musica has introduced two new features to its Web site (www.musica.co.za) which allow customers to take advantage of a gift purchase service and store delivery service options.
Products purchased on the site can be delivered as a present on behalf of the customer, gift-wrapped with a personalised greeting attached. Delivery can be made anywhere in SA, at a standard delivery charge of R25.
The site cautions that deliveries of gift purchases will take between three to five days, depending on product availability.
A further addition to the musica.co.za facility is a store delivery service, whereby customers can use the online facility to search the musica.co.za range of more than 50 000 titles for products that may not be readily available at any of the local Musica stores.
Once confirmed, the order will be delivered to the Musica store of the customer`s choice, from where it can be collected at a reduced delivery charge of R10. Store deliveries will take up to five days, depending on the availability of the product. The site will provide this service from 5 February.
Lara Bryant, marketing director of Musica, comments: "We are constantly looking for ways to enhance our relationship with our existing customers, as well as to attract new buyers to our site."
Bryant says musica.co.za has been experiencing a month on month increase in traffic to the site since its launch at the end of August last year. "We had a very satisfying Christmas season, with more and more music buyers making use of Musica`s online facility.
"Feedback from customers has indicated that they are impressed with the depth of range, as well as by our fulfilment promise - especially on those titles not found on other South African music Web sites," Bryant says.
