Mustek has been appointed as distributor of Asus Networking products in SA.
Asus Networking products are targeted at gamers, multi-taskers and high workload users, and are ideal for networks with high traffic volume.
"The Asus range of products caters for both consumer and enterprise networking. They are easy to set up, operate at high speed and boast long range, stable signal, as well as cloud and security features," says Alet Pelser, Asus Networking product manager at Mustek.
Under the deal, Mustek will distribute Asus' full range of networking products, including wireless routers, wireless access points and range extenders, xDSL modem routers, USB WiFi adaptors, and network accessories.
From Asus perspective, Pelser says the company has seen a steady growth in notebook and tablet sales since the partnership with Mustek began in 2013.
"They are confident that they can widen their reach of networking products even further and take the partnership to new heights."
From Mustek perspective, he says the distributor is excited by the opportunity due to not having this tier one range of product in the current product portfolio.
Pelser believes the deal enables Mustek to improve its networking product offering to its resellers. He adds that Asus are the leaders in AC networking technology worldwide, with the trend in data sharing these days becoming more demanding, Asus' product range is ideal to cater for the demand.
