Mutual and Federal has appointed Business Edge Systems (BES) to facilitate the design of the group`s business processes, for their new e-Business initiative.
Jonathan Golding, Assistant General Manager for e-Business at Mutual and Federal, says that e-Business fundamentally changes a company`s business processes. "The BES approach and its depictions have allowed us to assess the impact of any new initiatives we undertake and communicate this across all levels of the business. We expect that this will generate the buy-in needed to introduce this level of change into the company"
The first phase of the project will define e-Business strategy, current processes, e-business process design and a prioritised delivery plan. Implementation projects will follow in which the technology to support the processes will be introduced.
Hennie Pretorius, Director of e-Business Practice at BES says that opportunities for significant improvements have already emerged. "The contribution and commitment from the Mutual and Federal team has speeded progress. The initial e-business strategy will be presented to the executive in October followed by the final deliverable a month later"
BES was selected by Mutual and Federal because of the company`s knowledge of the industry and its insight into the problems faced by large organisations when implementing e-Business.
