Prior to the launch of Business ADSL, MWEB Business` customers were subject to monthly download limits of between three and nine gigabytes. Business ADSL overcomes this limitation by removing all traffic limitations.
"ADSL is fast becoming the preferred access method for many businesses. As Business ADSL is an uncapped service, it enables businesses to take advantage of having a permanent Internet connection without the concern of reaching download limits," says Gary Hart, manager, marketing and products at MWEB Business.
For customers that require high-quality speed and bandwidth, Business ADSL offers unlimited broadband access at a fixed monthly cost.
In addition, Business ADSL provides customers with a static Internet Protocol (IP) address. Currently, ADSL customers are assigned dynamic IP addresses, which may change every time the customer logs in. This prevents the hosting of servers, such as mail servers, at customers` premises. With a static IP address, customers are able to host an e-mail or Web server, or any other server that requires a fixed IP address, at their premises.
Pricing and availability
Business ADSL requires a once-off set-up fee of R1 500 and is priced at a fixed monthly cost of R1 350. The monthly fee includes router rental, and all hardware is covered by a service level agreement. All costs quoted exclude VAT and Telkom installation and monthly rental charges.
