Business Server offers the following set of standard features:
* Internet access: Access options range from a dial-up connection to leased-line connectivity. Customers are able to choose between ISDN, ADSL and leased-line connections.
* E-mail management: This feature allows customers to set up their own e-mail mailboxes, set mailbox size limits, create aliases and set a limit for the maximum outgoing e-mail size.
* Virus and spam protection: Unsolicited and harmful e-mails will be reduced, as all e-mail will be scanned for viruses and spam.
* Firewall protection: Information security is a key concern for any business. Business Server is therefore supplied with a firewall to prevent attacks on a customer`s server.
* Web interface: Customers can access and change all available features and settings via a Web interface. For example, customers can add and delete e-mail addresses and configure employee Internet access settings.
* Bandwidth management: Customers have the ability to manage bandwidth usage and quality. Customers can, for example, give preference to certain Internet traffic over another.
* Reporting: Business Server`s reporting tools provide valuable statistics and graphs on Internet usage based on traffic type, quantity and time.
* Monitoring: This service allows for the daily monitoring of system and e-mail health.
* Remote administration: MWEB Business` support personnel are able to access customers` servers remotely, allowing them to fix problems without having to visit a customer`s premises.
* Configuration file backups: Automated daily remote backups of all configuration files will be done, allowing for easy restoration and added peace of mind.
* Proxy for browsing: This service allows customers to set up browsing levels for different user groups within the company.
* DNS caching: Customers are able to preload and temporarily store Web pages for quicker browsing. This will reduce unnecessary bandwidth usage and minimise the time spent on the Internet for dial-up connection customers.
* Virtual static IP address: Built into the Business Server is software that allows customers to have a "virtual static IP address" on an ADSL connection. This gives the customer roaming access to e-mail on the server when they are away from the office.
