MXtreme honoured with Network Computing 2004 Well-connected Finalist award

Johannesburg, 03 Jun 2004

Secure , a member of the JSE-listed ERP.com Group, and the exclusive Southern African distributor for BorderWare , today announced that the latter's MXtreme Mail Firewall has been honoured by CMP Media LLC's Network Computing with a 2004 Well-Connected Finalist Award in the Spam Prevention Solution category. The recognition of MXtreme is based on the Real-World Labs roundup review reported in the May 13, 2004 issue of Network Computing.

In its Real-World review of 35 products, of which only 10 met the criteria for coverage, Network Computing editors write: "BorderWare adds significant value to its appliance by including ... clustering for scalability, the best reporting module of all the products we tested, per box antivirus licensing, as well as exceptional attachment filtering and distributed admin facilities." The full review names all the products that were considered, and is available online at: http://www.networkcomputing.com/showitem.jhtml?docid=1509f2.

"The Network Computing review is the first roundup that has taken a comprehensive and detailed look at all the major products that compete in the market," commented John Alsop, President and CEO, BorderWare Technologies Inc. "Although focused primarily on spam prevention, Network Computing's criteria touches on the approach that most enterprises and government are taking to determine what solution best secures their overall email infrastructure." "Network Computing has acknowledged the best and brightest in the networking and IT worlds for 10 years through its annual Well-Connected Awards," added Mike Lee, editor of Network Computing magazine. "The awards are determined as a result of product testing in the Real-World Labs of Network Computing, located throughout the U.S. More than 130 finalists in more than 40 categories have been named."
