D-Link, Proline, MWeb and Symantec have joined forces for a seven-city roadshow, dubbed N-Zilla, where they will showcase wireless LAN solutions to their resellers. The show will take place during September and October.
The four pillars - hardware, networking, connectivity and security - will be the focal areas of the event. Spokespeople from each vendor will offer insight and forward-looking statements which will help resellers and partners to answer the key questions facing network providers today.
D-Link marketing manager Karien Wood says these questions include what hardware best suits the business. "Proline will address hardware issues and offerings available today that assist system builders in presenting their clients with the best-suited hardware solution for their wireless networking infrastructure."
She says D-Link will cover which networking equipment should be considered. "The wide array of wireless networking solutions available today can be confusing. The company will present on a range of suitable solutions, highlighting how each offering is specifically built for different business environments."
MWeb's contribution will cover Internet connectivity, and the company will highlight a range of different connectivity options specifically aimed at wireless network builders and administrators, says Woods.
Threats and viruses will be discussed at length by Symantec spokespeople, who will show attendees how to protect their wireless network from threats and viruses inherently present in networking environments.
According to Wood, attendees will learn more about the opportunities presented by wireless technologies and will be introduced to the products and services available on the market today. "They will also be shown how to maximise their revenue stream with wireless technologies and will be enlightened as to the resources available to them while selling wireless."
She says the four partners will participate in an integrated, targeted event where they will showcase complementary technologies, providing one-stop wireless solutions specifically for the reseller.
"Wireless networking is an exciting segment in the local market, providing functional business solutions to businesses and service providers. D-Link, Proline, MWeb and Symantec will be showcasing a variety of solutions that will deliver a high level of security, scalability and manageability in wireless environments, and we anticipate an enthusiastic response from attendees."
