With the focus deservedly so on Security products after the Y2k lockdown period, the worlds largest IT security Company, Network Associates have announced a tailored partnership programme for resellers and agents keen to capitalise on the need in the IT community for quality security solutions.
"With an increase in awareness and requirements locally, we have decided to tailor a specific programme for our current AND potentially new parters," Says Lloyd Wood, Country manager : Network Associates South Africa. "Software that goes beyond Anti-Virus and Firewalls is required, an Active solution for the customer is needed, as many IT administrators don`t have the time to keep security upto date. For this Network Associates have Active Security - a fresh look at how security is managed, enforced and acted upon based on the customers security policy - not just a firewall."
Karla De Jong, Security Specialist at Network Associates continues. "For the first time there is a software solution which empowers the client with the information of the who`s, where`s, when`s and why`s of an event - AND then what happened. What use is a firewall when the Adminstrator doesn`t understand it, and hasnt updated it ? - Firewall Admins today need to constantly be aware of the attacks against firewalls, there are new Hacking tools made available on the internet every week ! - when did you last update your security ?"
"The advantage of Active Security is such that even IF a hacker manages to bypass your firewall and place pornographic material on YOUR website, our software has the power to replace this material with the original content within seconds..."
Network Associates are holding an event at the Gallagher Estates on Wednesday 15th March to potential partners who wish to become a Network Associates Total Solutions Partner.
