NamITech Holdings Limited has announced the appointment of Adam Jones as managing director for the company. Jones previously held the position of executive director: Finance and Corporate Services.
Jones assumes responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business, while Rex Tomlinson, current CEO of NamITech, will remain actively involved in driving the strategic direction of the group.
According to Tomlinson, the appointment will allow NamITech to receive the dedicated focus it requires while releasing him to pick up the new responsibilities given to him, in terms of the Nampak Limited executive director restructure announced last month.
"Adam has made a major contribution to NamITech`s success since joining the group over three years ago. He has a thorough understanding of the business and is supported by a strong executive management team. I am confident he will continue to grow NamITech in his role as MD."
Says Jones: "I am excited about the challenge ahead of me. NamITech has strong focused management teams and skills at all levels, and the company is well positioned to deliver to the market growth in a number of strategic areas."
Jones is a BComm, BAcc graduate from Witwatersrand University and a qualified CA (SA). He served his accounting articles at Deloitte and Touche. Prior to joining NamITech as financial director in 1999, Jones held the position of group financial manager at Kersaf Investments Limited.
