New Africa Technology Holdings (NATH) Africa has been appointed the first Oracle Applications Reseller in South Africa.
NATH Africa is an equal opportunities company playing an active and deliberate role in the development of historically disadvantaged people in South Africa.
NATH Africa now incorporates NVision - an Oracle specialist company with one of the largest Oracle application teams in the country. Its Oracle ERP customers include M-Web, Vodacom and Standard Bank.
The move emphasises Oracle`s recognition of NATH`s Oracle skills base and its ability to supply complete business solutions on this platform, says Stuart Cohen, Oracle SA`s applications channel manager.
"It is also an indication of Oracle`s focus on the channel market - particularly in addressing the small and medium enterprise (SME) arena," he adds
According to NATH Africa sales and marketing director, Selwyn Brunsdon, the Oracle appointment will strengthen NATH`s services offerings to corporate customers in the mid-market space.
He says the partnership with Oracle will help NATH position itself within the SME market to "effectively to grow to the next level" while providing staff with a greater variety of opportunities and challenges to develop their skills.
"Through working with Oracle we will build a competitive position within the channel and realise our goal to be a sought after, innovative provider of world class information technology solutions that respect and meet the unique requirements of Africa," he says.
"Together with Oracle, NATH will deliver stable and integrated e-business solutions based on the best technologies and practices available."
Cohen adds that the appointment of NATH is part of Oracle`s strategy to move towards a significant broadening of its customer base in the market and further partner appointments can be expected.
