
National Life to boost BI capabilities
Vermont-based National Life Group has adopted Attunity's CDC and data replication software, reports Insurance Technology.
The life insurer's goal is to boost its data management and business intelligence capabilities.
The company was also looking for a platform that could inexpensively help it implement these capabilities, traditionally difficult due to its heterogeneous environment.
"We have master data spread across many systems, ranging from legacy mainframes to modern SQL Server databases," explains Jarugumilli Brahmaiah, enterprise architect and data initiative leader at National Life Group, in a statement.
MiX Telematics goes north
MiX Telematics, a global vehicle tracking and fleet management solutions provider, says the MiX Insight Reports BI tool for FM-Web, is now available in North America for companies that are seeking to improve their vehicle and driver efficiencies, says Earth Times.
MiX Telematics North America offers a full spectrum of in-vehicle products and Internet-based fleet management solutions for companies across the US and Canada.
"Our new MiX Insight Reports technology is a powerful business solution for improving fleet operations," said Brian McCoy, VP of business and development at MiX Telematics North America.
ABC Bank implements Oracle
Mauritius-based ABC Banking, a new entrant in the banking market, is to start its implementation of Oracle FSS's Flexcube on 1 September, reveals IBS Intelligence.
The project is scheduled for completion in three months, says Mohd Khalil Alkhushairi, CEO of ABC.
At present, the bank is in the infrastructure procurement stage, which includes potential investment in Oracle's latest database and Weblogic application server, and Oracle BI Publisher.
