Navision South Africa has announced the appointment of DCDM Consulting in Mauritius as a Navision Solution Centre (NSC) for the Indian Ocean, and eastern and southern African regions.
DCDM Consulting is the IT consulting arm of De Chazal Du Mee (DCDM Group), with more than 1 000 professionals organised in core competence areas with strong industry focus. DCDM is the largest independent firm of chartered accountants and business consultants operating in Sub-Saharan Africa. Affiliated to Andersen, the company was set up in 1952 and has offices in Madagascar, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Chad, Rwanda, Reunion Island and Botswana.
"As such, DCDM Consulting is uniquely geared to implementing Navision products in these countries," says Navision South Africa managing director Keith Mullan. "The IT division of DCDM employs more than 140 multi-disciplinary professionals providing cutting-edge, customised solutions to demanding business organisations. This makes DCDM a worthy addition to the Navision family."
DCDM Consulting provides a range of services and products, including several industry-specific operational systems, implementations, software development, technical architecture and design, e-business strategy, strategic implementation planning, groupware solutions, decision-support systems, and ERP systems.
"We have a large team of IT and financial specialists advising clients and implementing key projects in number of sites across Africa," says Su Lin Ong, partner at DCDM Consulting responsible for the ERP service line. "The fact that we have local roots in a number of countries positions us very strongly in the mid-tier to high-end market of ERP solutions. We are also investing a large amount of resources in product training, which will ensure that we go to market with a sufficient pool of qualified staff.
"In line with our vision of providing appropriate business solutions to its clients, Navision will complement the portfolio of current ERP products supported and implemented by DCDM Consulting," she adds. "In fact, an official product launch is planned for early 2002, after which the DCDM Consulting-Navision team will be visiting clients and proposing relevant solutions."
As an international company with a business structure and development environment geared to keep pace with a world in motion, Navision places its NSCs in high regard. Certified Navision Solution Centres have the professional competence necessary to support and train clients on an ongoing basis, implement Navision solutions quickly and efficiently, and analyse client needs, specific industries and markets, and local business requirements.
"We work closely together with our NSCs to offer fast, flexible and versatile business solutions that respond to rapidly changing demands, while growing with the company," Mullan concludes.
