Navision South Africa has announced that it is the first ERP vendor in SA to become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. This comes shortly after the announcement of Navision becoming the first Microsoft Global Gold Certified Partner for Software Products worldwide.
According to Navision South Africa managing director Keith Mullan, it is a great honour to be awarded this status, locally as well globally. "Not only are we one of 10 companies in SA to be recognised as Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, we are also the first ERP vendor in SA to achieve this status. This clearly indicates that we are committed to working with our partners and developing our software applications based on Microsoft technologies."
In order to obtain Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status like Navision, Microsoft Certified Partners must have a software application that successfully completes the Windows 2000 Certification. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners receive enhanced benefits from the Microsoft Certified Partner programme. These include elite brand identification, training opportunities designed for specific business, increased product licences, prioritised listing on referrals and business engagements, dedicated web-based communities, and annual events with relevant product teams.
Microsoft SA business development manager Craig Foord says the new Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Programme for Software Products is an exciting natural evolution for Microsoft Certified Partners who develop applications. "The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner programme identifies companies like Navision that have proven their commitment and expertise in one or more specialised areas when developing software applications based on Microsoft technologies. Our goal is to clearly help customers identify ISVs with robust products optimised for our platform."
Navision is a worldwide ISV specialising in CRM, supply-chain management, financial management and e-business software solutions. The company qualified as a Global Gold Certified Partner by enrolling sites on four continents, including Europe, Australia, Asia and North America. This announcement extends the reach of the programme to five continents and now also includes the African continent.
"This programme is intended to raise visibility and increase awareness of our partners` expertise among customers, prospects and within Microsoft. Its primary objectives are to make it easier for our customers to find the correct partner to work with, and to help our partner differentiate their offerings in the market.
"The benefits for Navision, its resellers as well as its customers are endless. Being awarded this certification ultimately means that our products have been tried and tested, and integrate seamlessly with all Microsoft products. It gives Navision greater visibility within Microsoft and with our resellers and customers," concludes Mullan.
