Navision financial solution is Y2K winner for Steeledale SCS

Steeledale SCS (Strata Control Systems) has implemented a new financial software management system. Using a Microsoft interface, EasiRun`s Navision solution has replaced their proprietary system and ensured that Steeledale SCS is ready to face the millennium with confidence.

"Steeledale SCS is a company who cannot afford potential downtime caused by the Year 2000 (Y2K) bug. We needed to replace our proprietary system with a flexible solution that was Y2K compliant. EasiRun`s Navision software was our answer. A major consideration in our choice was the software`s ease of operation and the fact that it is fully integrated with Microsoft Windows making it extremely user friendly. In fact, Steeledale SCS standardised their desktops on Microsoft Windows 95 as a result of the purchasing decision. The implementation has been a great success because the software complied with all our business component needs," said Arik Sherban, IT project manager at Steeledale SCS.

Even more significant is the time and money Steeledale SCS has saved when one considers the ramifications and income losses caused by machine failures, especially with the Y2K issue.

"Navision provided us with a cost-effective solution easily customisable to suit our client`s needs. Steeledale`s unique requirements were met as a result of the flexibility of the Navision package. Another major criteria for Steeledale SCS was the software`s data porting capabilities and Navisions excellent data porting tools solved their dilemma," added Lucille Livingston, head of EasiRun`s Navision department.

According to Livingston the phased implementation began in July of last year and the project has run according to plan and is nearing completion.
