Business management solution provider Navision South Africa places great value on the partnerships it has forged with various vendors, believing them to be a key element of its ongoing success in the market.
"Maintaining competitive advantage in today`s marketplace is all about collaboration and the cultivation of partnerships with key players in the industry," says managing director Keith Mullan. "Partnerships are not only beneficial to ourselves but also to our customers, in that they encourage the use of common technology and prevent the creation of standalone, dysfunctional solutions. The more companies there are that use the same technology, the easier collaboration becomes."
Navision recently became the first independent software vendor to achieve the newly announced accreditation of Microsoft Global Gold Certified Partner for Software Products.
The programme identifies companies that have proven their commitment and expertise in one of more specialised areas in regard to Microsoft technologies. It is also a requirement that the independent software vendors successfully completed the Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system certification.
To achieve the new global accreditation from Microsoft, the software vendors must be approved as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Software Products on at least three continents and in ten different countries worldwide. Navision currently has 14 accredited sites in Europe, US, Australia, Southeast Asia and SA.
Rosa Maria Gracia, general manager of Microsoft`s partner programmes, says: "As the first Global Gold Certified Partner for Software Products, Navision is helping its customers maximise IT investments on the Windows platform."
Navision also recently announced a global alliance with IBM to deliver affordable, integrated e-business solutions that meet the unique needs of fast-growing small and medium-sized businesses (SMB). Combining powerful IBM eServer products with Navision software, the alliance addresses demand by SMB customers for comprehensive e-business solutions that are cost-effective, reliable and easy to manage.
"IBM commands a strong position in the global SMB market with its IBM eServer product line," says Mullan. "A major goal of the IBM-Navision relationship is to address the need for reliable, cost-effective, integrated server solutions for SMBs. Together, IBM and Navision make a perfect match, and our joint initiatives will bring new benefits to our partners and customers."
