NavisionDamgaard has announced Web-enabling for Navision Financials which enables customers to easily access data within Navision Financials from a Web browser.
According to NavisionDamgaard SA managing director Keith Mullan, by providing users with Web access to Navision Financials is a crucial step in NavisionDamgaard`s e-business strategy, which will make it easier for customers in the mid-market to realise the full potential of the Internet.
"This solution gives our customers a simple and straightforward way to access their data from anywhere in the world, at any time, as long as they have access to a Web browser," he adds. "The Web technology - and how it`s implemented and used - supports a core value we have at NavisionDamgaard. We provide our customers with clear-cut, easy-to-use and cost-effective solutions."
The Navision Application Server, which is based on a Microsoft.NET server, makes Web access to Navision Financials possible. The Navision Application Server is the foundation for several new e-business solutions that NavisionDamgaard will be announcing over the next few months. The Navision Application Server runs on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as well as NavisionDamgaard`s own Navision Server.
Several NavisionDamgaard customers have already begun implementing Web-enabling for Navision Financials, and are already pinpointing the benefits of this solution.
"We are excited about what this solution can do for our organization," says Phil Eyres, IT Manager at Supreme Pet Foods, a Navision Financials customer in the United Kingdom. "The ability to access important business and management information from Navision Financials via a Web browser will be particularly valuable to our remote sales force. Now, they can access specific, focused information that will help them to be more proactive with customers. "
