Nawras teams up with DHL

Nawras has signed a contract with international courier service DHL to provide the company with all its mobile telecommunication services, reports the Times of Oman.

Nawras Business Solutions include Nawras mobile e-mail, enabling customers to read e-mails, contact and calendar details on a mobile phone while on the move; e-billing, which gives a paperless accounting record of the company's mobile usage; and closed user group (CUG), a service for unlimited free calls within companies for a minimal, monthly fee.

The signing ceremony, which took place at the DHL office in Muscat, was attended by senior representatives of both the companies, including Henrik Norgaard, Nawras chief commercial officer, and Mark Benton, country manager of the DHL.

Promo magazine has published its annual Interactive Marketer Trends Study, which found that 49% of marketers have increased their online promotion budgets in 2007, reports the Wise Marketer.

Marketers are increasingly relying on online tactics as a core part of their strategy; with 65% of respondents reporting that they develop online promotions as part of their overall marketing strategy.

More than half (55%) reported that e-mail marketing was their largest spending item, followed by e-mail newsletters (45%). More than half of respondents said that click-through rates were the primary measure of e-mail campaign effectiveness.

Billentis and Vereon are hosting their e-billing and invoicing Summit at the Millennium Conference Centre in London on 10 and 11 September this year.

European EXPP Summit features speakers from BASF, HSBC, Hewlett-Packard and Nordea Bank, who will discuss their experience with e-invoicing. With more companies changing to electronic invoicing, and leaving paper-based invoicing behind, the focus of this year's summit will be on how to stay competitive within the e-invoicing market.

In addition, more than 25 leading solution and service providers will present state-of-the-art e-billing, online invoicing and electronic invoicing solutions in the exhibition area.
